What we collect, and what we don't.
This policy covers every app Azora Tech LLC publishes on Google Play, plus this website. We've tried to write it so you can actually read it. If something is unclear, email privacy@azora.group and we'll explain.
1. Who we are
“Azora”, “we” and “us” mean Azora Tech LLC, a limited liability company registered in Delaware, USA, with its registered office at 108 West 13th Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, United States. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.
Some apps have extra details specific to them, such as a feature that needs your location. Where that happens, the app's Google Play listing and its in-app privacy screen will say so, and those details add to this policy rather than replace it.
2. What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Depending on the app and the features you use, that can include:
Things you give us
- Account details, if an app has accounts: usually an email address and a display name.
- Content you create in the app, such as notes, lists or settings, so the app can save and sync them.
- Messages to us: when you email support, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
Things collected automatically
- Crash reports and diagnostics: device model, Android version, app version and what the app was doing when it crashed. This helps us fix bugs.
- Basic usage data: which screens are opened and which features get used, counted in aggregate. We use it to see what's worth improving and what nobody needs.
- App instance identifiers: a random ID generated for your install, used to tie crash reports together. It isn't your name, phone number or email.
Things we don't collect
We don't read your contacts, messages, call logs or photos unless a feature clearly needs it and you allow it. We don't sell personal information, and we don't build advertising profiles of you.
This website
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested) for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use it
- To run the app and the features you choose to use.
- To fix crashes and improve performance.
- To answer your support requests.
- To process purchases, which Google Play handles for us (see below).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
Where privacy law asks for a legal basis, we rely on what's needed to provide the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping our apps working and safe, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations where they apply.
4. Device permissions
Android asks for your permission before an app can use things like the camera, location, microphone or notifications. Our apps only request a permission when a feature needs it, and they ask at the moment you use that feature, not all at once on first launch. You can turn any permission off later in your phone's settings. The feature that depends on it will stop working, but the rest of the app won't.
5. Services we rely on
Like most app makers, we use a few outside services to run things. They process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms:
- Google Play for distributing apps and handling payments. We never see your full card details.
- Google Firebase (or a similar provider) for crash reporting, analytics and, where an app has accounts, sign-in and data storage.
- Ad networks, only in apps that show ads, and only if the app's store listing says it contains ads. Those networks may use your device's advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your Android settings.
- Email and hosting providers for this website and our support inbox.
6. When we share data
We share personal information only:
- with the service providers above, so they can do the job we hired them for;
- when the law requires it, for example a valid court order;
- to protect people's safety, or our rights, against fraud or abuse;
- if Azora is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would carry over and we'd tell you first.
7. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the personal data tied to it within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law, such as purchase records for tax purposes. Crash reports and diagnostics are kept for up to 90 days. Support emails are kept for up to two years and then deleted.
You can find out how to delete your data on our data deletion page.
8. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or limit certain uses of it, or withdraw consent you gave earlier.
Residents of the EU, UK, California and other places with privacy laws have these rights by law, and may also complain to their local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first. Email privacy@azora.group and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it's really you before acting on a request.
9. Children
Our apps aren't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we'll delete it. If we ever release an app made for children, it will follow Google Play's Families policy and come with its own privacy notice.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and we use established providers rather than rolling our own infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, though. If we ever have a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
11. Where data is stored
Our service providers may store data in the United States, the European Union or elsewhere. When data moves between countries, we rely on our providers' standard safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app or by email before it takes effect.
