Apps worth keeping on your phone.
Azora is a small software company. We design, build and publish mobile apps, starting with Android. Most apps get deleted within a few days of being installed. We're trying to make the ones that don't.
- Android first
- No dark patterns
- Real people on support
- Updates that fix things
§01What we do
Four jobs. We try to do all of them properly.
- 01
Our own apps
We come up with the idea, build it, put it on Google Play and answer the emails about it. No middlemen and no white-label templates.
- 02
Keeping them alive
Android changes every year and phones change even faster. We keep our apps current, so the thing you installed in March still opens in December.
- 03
Answering people
If something breaks, write to us. You'll hear back from someone who knows how the app works, not get a ticket number.
- 04
Taking less data
An app should only ask for what it needs to do its job. If we can't explain why we need something, we don't collect it.
§02How we work
A few rules we hold ourselves to.
They're written down so we can be called out when we break them. Feel free to do that.
- 1
If it needs a tutorial, it isn't finished.
We keep reworking a screen until someone who's never seen it can use it without help.
- 2
Fewer features, fewer bugs.
Every feature is something to maintain forever. We'd rather do four things well than fourteen badly.
- 3
No tricks.
No fake countdown timers, no subscriptions that are a pain to cancel, no notifications sent just to drag you back in.
- 4
It has to run on an old phone.
We test on cheap, slow, three-year-old devices, because a lot of people use exactly those.
§03On the shelf
Our apps
The first ones are being built and tested now. When each goes live on Google Play, it will show up here with a store link and a plain note on what data it uses.

The boring part, which still matters.
